Rules for everyone

General attendance requires registration. Admission and cook-off entry are free; cooking contestants supply their own ingredients. General registration does not enter contests or confirm prizes, and does not authorize launcher participation. Separate cook-off applications: Application link coming soon.

• Follow event staff directions and remain inside marked activity areas.
• Children and minors require the supervision stated for each activity.
• Use each activity only as directed by staff.
• Staff may pause or refuse participation when equipment, conduct, weather or site conditions are unsafe.
• Registration, waiver acceptance, equipment clearance and check-in are separate states.

Cooking, potato and costume contests

Bring your baked-potato or casserole creation, biggest potato, ugliest potato or potato costume. Cooking application links, deadlines, eligibility, food-handling instructions, judging and tie rules are coming soon. Social voting for the costume contest is undecided; no hashtag or social-media account is required.

Sack races, crafts and refreshments

Sack-race divisions and prizes are Details to come. Children’s potato crafts include stamp art; follow the supervising staff’s instructions. The food-and-refreshments vendor lineup is being finalized. Vendor menus and prices are Details to come.

Pending confirmation: potato launcher competition

The launcher and claw machine are not confirmed activities. Launcher signing remains closed until activity confirmation, organizer legal acceptance and insurer acceptance are recorded. If confirmed, the following draft safety requirements apply.

• Own launcher: participant-supplied equipment must pass staff inspection before entering the activity area.
• Event launcher: event equipment may be used only as directed by the assigned operator or range staff.
• No launcher may be loaded, aimed or discharged outside the designated target lane.
• Never aim at a person, animal, vehicle, building or outside the target area.
• Every launcher participant must have the current accepted waiver and staff inspection/clearance. Minors also require a parent or legal guardian’s permission and supervision.
